National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Applications Workshop
Tuesday, October 9, 2018 - 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Instructors:
Drew Decker, National Map Liaison, U.S. Geological Survey, San Diego, CA
Carol Ostergen, National Map Liaison for California and Nevada, U.S. Geological Survey, Sacramento, CA
Jane Schafer-Kramer, GIS Specialist, California Department of Water Resources, Sacramento, CA

This full day workshop offers an introduction to the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) and how it can support numerous applications such as resource management, environmental monitoring, infrastructure planning, and disaster mitigation.

Join us to examine NHD features, attributes, and structure with regard to the Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD).  Learn about data management and maintenance, including the stewardship model and certified editors that support NHD in California.

Participants can bring laptop computers to get hands on experience with accessing NHD data, navigating the NHD network, adding and locating hydrologic events, and suggesting corrections and improvements to the data.

Cost: One full-day or half-day workshop is included with full conference registration; $195 if only attending a workshop or adding a second half-day workshop
